Bad batteries break down when measured under load and can thus be unmasked in seconds. The complete test procedure is controlled automatically, i.e. you only have to start it and the battery tester shows you the result of the measurement on the digital display after approx. 10 seconds. This prevents the battery from being overloaded due to the measurement taking too long. For an exact analysis, the cold start current value of the battery can be set.
