Victron MultiPlus 12/500/20 Inverter Battery Charger

The Victron MultiPlus is a combined power inverter and battery charger in one unit. The PMP121500000 is suitable for charging 12 volt batteries from 187-265V AC input, as well as producing a true sine wave 230V AC output from these 12 volt batteries. When connected to shore power or a generator, the MultiPlus will draw a large current and use it to power any AC loads connected to the output side.

Any leftover power will then be used for charging batteries, while protecting the supply side from overloading. If there are periods where AC load exceeds the input power, either by adding more appliances or by the input power being disconnected, the multi will switch to battery power within 20 milliseconds, so fast that electronic equipment will continue to operate without any disruption. If more power is required, up to 6 Victron MultiPlus units can be used in parallel operation.

Each unit also features protections against problems such as short circuits, over / under voltage, high temperatures etc to prevent failure.
